Who: Survivors, Thrivers and Healers
According to the dictionary, definitions of Survivor, Thrive(r), Healer and Inspire are as follows…
Survivors
Survivor: 1. a person or thing that survives.
2. a person who continues to function or prosper in spite of opposition, hardship, or setbacks
Survive: to endure or live through (an affliction, adversity, misery, etc.)

I’m sure we all know at least one person in our life who is a survivor. Our community definition of a Survivor is a person who has endured opposition, hardship or setback in their health, be it mental, emotional and/or physical and yet is still able to function despite all that has been thrown at them. Such is so as in the instance of someone whom, most of us may know, has been diagnosed with cancer and yet is still able to function in society such as going to work regularly, actively pursue their favorite hobby or being able to spend quality time with their family.
Thrivers
Thrive: 1. to prosper; be fortunate or successful.
2. to grow or develop vigorously; flourish

I have witnessed quite a few people in my personal life who are Thrivers such as individuals, myself included, who were diagnosed with lupus and have managed to eradicate a majority amount, it not all, lupus symptoms. The elimination of these symptoms were a direct result of our determination to heal the best we can and live our best life. Through utilizing various methods which involved implementing allopathic, complimentary, as well as alternative methods (including changing the way we eat and regular exercise), we have been able to achieve the goal of living comfortably in our own bodies without the surprise upon waking each day of “what am I going to have to deal with today?”!
Thrivers Inspire community definition of Thriver is one who has been prosperous, fortunate or successful and/or grows and develops/flourish. Those who have had a similar journey to mine is only but one example of an embodiment of a Thriver.
Healers
Healer: a person or thing that heals
Heal: to make healthy, whole, or sound; restore to health; free from ailment.
Health: the general condition of the body or mind with reference to soundness and vigor

Thrivers Inspire defines a healer as someone who assists in aiding a person, or many people, to their best health. Many times this involves bringing one from a state of sickness to good health. We define good health as having all body systems working at its best capacity and in harmony with each other. This includes (briefly):
* Skeletal: Gives our body it’s structure.
* Muscular: Helps us to move.
* Nervous: Responds to stimuli from inside and outside of our bodies sending signals to various organs and controlling various body functions.
* Circulatory: Allows nutrients, hormones and more to travel through our bodies. It also helps to regulate our body temperature.
* Respiratory: Helps our bodies take in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide and water.
* Lymphatic: Holds clear lymph fluid for infectious disease protection.
* Immune: Protects our bodies from foreign invaders.
* Integumentary: Our protective outer body covering
* Endocrine: Responsible for our hormonal release.
* Digestive: Turns our food into energy and usable nutrients.
* Genito-urinary: Creates and eliminates our urine.
* Reproductive: Helps us to produce offspring.
All of these systems working at it’s proper and best function in which it is designed would be the ultimate desired result of your body and mind in a state of good energy and working optimally.
I know a few genuine, kind-hearted individuals who are truly passionate in ensuring their patients and clients are able to come to that very state of good, if not great health. There are many methods in which this is achieved, yet, they all have one thing in common and that is; the confidence in their own ability as well as their patient to reach this ideal state.
One such instance is of a healer who encountered a patient dealing with a considerable sized rash and bumps covering the entire back of her neck and upper back. The patient had no idea where it came from or even how it came about. Although, the easy route for this healer would be to prescribe a pharmaceutical in a typical situation, this patient refused and was not interested in taking ANY drugs by way of allopathic medicine. However, she still seemed determined in having the issue resolved. With respect to her wishes, the doctor agreed to continue working with her. They went over everything down the line from the type of cosmetics she used to certain times the rash would appear.
After narrowing down most of the probable topical (on the skin) causes, the doctor decided to dive a bit deeper, literally, into the case. She asked her to go over the things she ate and the times when the rash would appear. It turns out the rash would appear after dinner. At that time she would go for a walk while the sun was still out and she would sweat. By the end of the night the rashes would appear.
The doctor recommended eliminating certain foods one by one and had the patient record how she felt by the end of her brief workout. It turns out the patient’s issue was that she was sensitive to the food that most of her family was eating. What her family members considered good wholesome eating was actually a adverse to her. To further confirm the food it was, the doctor ordered allergy testing to confirm it was in fact a certain meat sensitivity (different from full on allergy). Almost every night, her family would have this type of meat for dinner. Once the patient stopped consuming it, she was able to get rid of her rashes and bumps. The healer in this instance was her doctor who, with determination and investigation, was able to guide her patient back to her good health.
Inspirer
Inspire: 1. to produce or arouse (a feeling, thought, etc.)
2. to give inspiration
Inspiration: 1. an inspiring or animating action or influence
2. something inspired, as an idea.
3. a result of inspired activity.
4. a thing or person that inspires.

Where The Inspiration For Thrivers Inspires Came From
The inspiration behind Thrivers Inspire deals with my own journey from being a Survivor, Thriver to Healer as well as a constant, seemingly coincidental coaxing from various individuals in my life whom I’ve eventually caved into in order to create this community. Our community defines Inspire as the ability to arouse the feeling, through our actions and stories, that allow others to make positive, health and healing choices in their own lives.
Why Thrivers Inspire Is Important
Good health is the most worthy of investments in our lives! Thrivers Inspire is an important community platform in order to move people to learn about their minds and bodies so that we can properly care for ourselves and in some cases for others. Whether it is through healthy balanced eating and an exercise regimen based on our body type/needs or adopting positive thinking and emotional habits for optimal mental/emotional health, Thrivers Inspire is designed to invoke the desire to strive to be and/or stay as healthy as possible. As naturally social beings, having that community network of like-minds, support and comfort allows this to be successfully accomplished.
